Job summary

Wishaw-based PCV Technician position offering full-time permanent work and a salary of £42,120–£51,480 per year. 45 hours weekly with overtime. Role involves maintaining and repairing PCVs to ensure fleet reliability and passenger safety in Lanarkshire.

Requirements include a minimum Level 3 NVQ or City & Guilds, strong diagnostic skills in a workshop, and a PCV licence is desirable but not essential. A family-run transport business supports ongoing training and development.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 3 NVQ or equivalent (City & Guilds Level 1/2)
• Ability to multi-skill within an Engineering environment
• PCV licence desirable but not essential
• Experience with buses/coaches advantageous, HGV/light-vehicle mechanics also encouraged

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and carry out vehicle repairs, servicing and parts replacement
• Diagnose vehicle faults and specify the correct repair method and parts to be used
• Carry out routine vehicle servicing and examinations to DVSA standards
• Attend on-road vehicle breakdowns
• Adhere to highest Health & Safety standards
