Job summary

NMS Recruit Ltd is seeking an experienced PCV Engineer in Bolton to join a busy Engineering Department. You will inspect, service, maintain and repair PCV and HGV vehicles to high safety standards.

The role offers daytime shifts, 40 hours per week, with paid overtime and opportunities to develop your skills and qualifications while ensuring compliance with current safety and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience as a PCV Engineer with a focus on safety and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to diagnose faults and perform servicing/maintenance on PCV/HGV vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Carry out 6-weekly inspections and preventative maintenance.
• Diagnose mechanical/electrical faults with diagnostic equipment.
• Complete servicing, repairs and maintenance on PCV vehicles.
• Prepare vehicles for MOT and annual testing.
• Ensure vehicles meet safety/regulatory standards.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.

Salary: Up to £25 per hour + Overtime

Key Responsibilities

• Identify faults efficiently and carry out effective repairs to minimise vehicle downtime
• Prepare vehicles for MOT and annual testing
• Ensure all vehicles meet required safety and regulatory standards
• Complete maintenance records, inspection sheets and other relevant documentation accurately
