Job summary

Arriva Group in Gillingham is looking for experienced PCV licensed bus drivers to connect local communities and provide great customer service on daily routes.

You will drive on shift-based work including early mornings, evenings and weekends, while receiving ongoing CPC training and opportunities for career progression within Arriva.

Qualifications

• PCV Licence is required.
• You will be over 18 with at least 6 months driving experience.
• No more than 6 points on your licence.
• Excellent customer service skills are essential.
• A drug and alcohol test is required before the driving assessment.
• Weekend work will be required depending on rota.

Responsibilities

• Drive council routes and ensure passengers reach destinations safely.
• Deliver friendly, helpful customer service on every journey.
• Adhere to CPC requirements and complete training as scheduled.
• Work shifts including early mornings, evenings and weekends as rosters require.

Are you an experienced PCV licence holder?

Pay Rate: £16.85 - £17.87 per hour

• Weekdays - £16.85 per hour


• Overtime - £17.87 per hour

The role will be shift-based, so you’ll need to be prepared to work early, evenings and weekends.

Requirements

• PCV Licence (If you do not have this, please apply to our Trainee Bus Driver role as we can offer all the training you need!)


• You will need to be over 18 with at least 6 months driving experience.


• No more than 6 points on your licence.


• Excellent customer service skills.


• You will be required to do a drug and alcohol test when you come for a driving assessment. (If you are on any ongoing medication this is fine as long as we have your doctor’s approval that you are fit to drive our lovely buses)


• Will be required to work weekends depending on your rota; however you will know in advance which ones you will be working.
