Job summary

East:MK PCN in Milton Keynes is recruiting a pharmacy technician for a full-time, 37.5-hour week across practices, to develop prescribing systems and support medical staff with complex medication queries.

You will join a collaborative network of GP partners and reception teams, offering opportunities to influence prescribing projects, cost audits, and service improvements while working across four practices.

Qualifications

• Current GPhC registration is required.
• Diploma Level 3 or equivalent in Pharmacy Services.
• Experience in community pharmacy or primary care settings.
• Ability to analyse and present information to health professionals and stakeholders.
• Experience implementing cost-effective prescribing strategies.

About the Role

EAST:MK PCN has an exciting opportunity for a hardworking, enthusiastic and innovative pharmacy technician to join us. The role is offered on a full-time basis, 37.5 hours per week over 5 days per week, between Monday and Saturday, on a rotation basis across the PCN's practices. The successful candidate will benefit from this unique opportunity to build up strong working relationships across our organisation and will be actively involved in how their role evolves over time.

Duties

will involve:

• Developing our prescribing systems to ensure safe, effective and efficient prescribing within the practice
• Supporting the reception and admin teams with complex medication queries
• Supporting the GP partners on prescribing projects and cost/safety audits and action

About the Candidate

All applicants will have the following qualifications and experience:

• Current registration with the GPhC
• Diploma Level 3 or equivalent in Pharmacy Services
• Strong experience in either a community pharmacy or primary care setting
• Confident in analysing and presenting information to health professionals
• Experience of implementing and promoting cost effective strategies
• The ability to interpret complex clinical information and present in suitable formats to a variety of people from professional and non-professional backgrounds.
