We are seeking an experienced and motivated Pharmacy Technician to join our innovative and supportive multi-disciplinary team within The Rural Practice Network PCN. This role offers the opportunity to work across our member practices and be actively involved in delivering high-quality, cost-effective medicines optimisation and patient care as part of the national PCN Direct Enhanced Service (DES).
You will play a key role in improving the quality, safety, and cost-effectiveness of prescribing, support medication reviews, and enhance the overall medicines management systems across the PCN.
The Rural Practice Network is a collaborative Primary Care Network (PCN) made up of five friendly and forward-thinking GP practices located across the beautiful rural areas of Castle Cary, Queen Camel, Bruton, Wincanton, and Milborne Port in Somerset.
Serving a combined population of approximately [insert patient number if known], we work together to improve the health and wellbeing of our local communities through integrated, patient-centred care. Our PCN team includes GPs, Clinical Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, First Contact Practitioners, Social Prescribers, Care Coordinators, and other Allied Health Professionals all committed to delivering innovative healthcare solutions tailored to local needs.

Operate as a key member of the PCN Medicines Management Team.
Provide support to all PCN practices through project work aligned with PCN DES requirements.
Assist in emergency situations such as flu outbreaks or pandemics, including safe management of vaccines and antivirals.
Work both independently and collaboratively across multiple practice sites, demonstrating flexibility and initiative.
