Job summary

STI Limited in Hook, Hampshire, is seeking a dedicated PCB Inspector / Returns Inspector to inspect customer returned PCBs and assemblies to ensure compliance with quality and industry standards. The role requires meticulous attention to documentation and conformance checks against customer specifications, with detailed use of magnification tools.

You will support fault investigations, verify labels, serial numbers, and Certificates of Conformance, and participate in 5S activities.

Qualifications

• IPC-A-610 Class 3 knowledge is desirable.
• Full training will be provided for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Inspect customer returned PCBs in accordance with quality and industry standards, including IPC-A-610 Class 3.
• Ensure all returns documentation is complete and accurate.
• Verify conformance to customer specifications and company requirements, including labels and serial numbers.
• Perform detailed inspections using magnification equipment.
• Support investigations into returned assemblies by identifying faults and findings.
• Inspect wiring harnesses and carry out associated mechanical inspections.
• Check delivery notes for accuracy and completeness.
• Verify Certificates of Conformance against customer order requirements prior to despatch.
• Carry out X-ray inspection of assembled products to ensure high quality.
• Participate in 5S activities across the production environment.
• Undertake any other duties appropriate to the role.

We are looking for a PCB Inspector / Returns Inspector to join our team, carrying out detailed inspections of customer returned Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) and assemblies to ensure compliance with quality, customer, and industry standards.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Inspecting customer returned Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) in accordance with Quality and Industry standards, including IPC-A-610 Class 3 requirements
• Ensuring all customer returns documentation is complete and accurate
• Verifying that products conform to customer specifications and company requirements, including metalwork, labels, serial numbers, and associated documentation
• Conducting detailed inspections using magnification equipment
• Supporting investigations into returned assemblies by identifying and discussing faults and findings
• Inspecting wiring harnesses and carrying out associated mechanical inspections
• Checking delivery notes for accuracy and completeness
• Verifying Certificates of Conformance (C of C) against customer order requirements prior to despatch
• Carrying out X-ray inspection of assembled products to ensure the highest quality standards are achieved
• Participating in and supporting 5S activities across the production environment
• Undertaking any other duties appropriate to the role.

Having an IPC-A-610 qualification is desirable, but full training will be provided for the right candidate.
