Job summary

Addition is seeking a skilled PCB Design Engineer to join its specialist engineering team in Maidenhead, UK. You will take advanced PCB designs from initial requirements through to manufacture across defence, aerospace, security and space programmes.

You will design 4-20 layer PCBs, work across analogue, RF, digital and power, collaborate with engineers and suppliers, and help ensure DRC/DFM/DFT compliance while enabling smooth transition into production.

Qualifications

• A degree in engineering, mathematics, science or equivalent relevant industry experience.
• Strong knowledge of IPC standards and high-density PCB design.
• Experience with Altium or PADS is highly desirable.
• Ability to communicate complex technical information clearly across disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Design and lay out complex 4-20 layer PCBs for high-reliability applications.
• Work across analogue, RF, digital, power, and high-speed circuitry.
• Ensure impedance control, EMC, and signal integrity in layouts.
• Collaborate with engineers and with PCB manufacturers to meet DRC/DFM/DFT.
• Provide design estimates for effort, timescales, and risk.
• Support transition into manufacture with procurement and supply chain.
• Develop and maintain CAD libraries and data.
