Job summary

Redline Group Ltd in Berkshire seeks a hands-on PCB Design Engineer to create production-ready layouts and documentation for complex electronic products.

You will use Altium Designer to design multilayer boards, optimise routing and work with electronics, mechanical and manufacturing teams to deliver prototypes through to production. This site-based role offers the chance to impact real products.

Qualifications

• Experience designing PCBs from schematics using Altium Designer.
• Knowledge of high-density multilayer boards and mixed-signal designs.
• Understanding of fabrication, assembly, signal integrity and DFx considerations.

Responsibilities

• Create complex, production-ready PCB layouts from engineer-supplied schematics using Altium Designer.
• Develop multilayer PCB designs, optimising component placement, routing and board layouts for performance and manufacturability.
• Work closely with electronics, mechanical and manufacturing engineers to resolve design challenges and support product development.
• Produce design and manufacturing documentation, carry out design checks and support boards through prototyping and production.

We are partnered with a growing product development business in Newbury, Berkshire, designing and developing innovative electronic products for customers across a range of industries.

In this PCB Design Engineer role, you will:

• Create complex, production-ready PCB layouts from engineer-supplied schematics using Altium Designer
• Develop multilayer PCB designs, optimising component placement, routing and board layouts for performance and manufacturability
• Work closely with electronics, mechanical and manufacturing engineers to resolve design challenges and support product development
• Produce design and manufacturing documentation, carry out design checks and support boards through prototyping and production

The ideal PCB Design Engineer will have:

• Strong commercial experience in PCB design, layout or implementation
• Extensive hands-on experience using Altium Designer as a primary PCB design tool
• Proven experience designing complex multilayer PCBs, including high-density or mixed-signal designs
• Good understanding of PCB fabrication, assembly, signal integrity, grounding and design for manufacture

The role is site-based in Newbury, Berkshire.
