Job summary

ZENOVO is seeking a PCB Design Engineer in Leeds to join our electronics team. You will design and develop PCBs from concept through to manufacture using Altium Designer, collaborating with engineers to optimise layouts.

You will perform schematic capture, component placement and routing, prepare manufacturing documentation, and ensure designs meet EMC, reliability and quality requirements while supporting prototype builds and design reviews.

Qualifications

• Proven PCB Design experience in an electronics engineering environment.
• Strong working knowledge of Altium Designer.
• Experience with schematic capture, component placement and PCB routing.
• Good understanding of PCB design for manufacture and assembly.
• Experience working from engineering schematics and specifications.
• An understanding of EMC, signal integrity and design considerations.
• Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to design.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with engineers and other departments.

Responsibilities

• Designing and laying out PCBs using Altium Designer.
• Producing PCB layouts from schematics and engineering requirements.
• Component placement and routing, ensuring designs meet performance and manufacturing requirements.
• Working closely with Electronics Engineers to develop and optimise PCB designs.
• Creating and maintaining PCB design documentation and libraries.
• Supporting design reviews and making improvements where required.
• Preparing designs for manufacture and working with manufacturing teams to resolve any PCB-related issues.
• Supporting prototype builds, testing and design iterations.
• Ensuring designs meet relevant quality, reliability and EMC requirements.

This is an excellent opportunity for a PCB Designer who is confident using Altium and enjoys working on the design and development of electronic products from concept through to manufacture.
