Syntech Recruitment Ltd are partnering with a well-established electronics manufacturer in Fife to recruit a Test Debug Technician. This hands-on role focuses on fault-finding and repairing PCB assemblies down to component level, using schematics and technical documentation to ensure products meet exact specifications before shipment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience fault-finding PCB assemblies to component level.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical documentation.
• Experience in electronics manufacturing environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Fault-finding and debugging electronic PCB assemblies
• Repairing products down to component level
• Working from test results, schematics and technical documentation
• Identifying root causes of failures and implementing effective repairs
• Supporting production test operators and engineers with technical issues
• Providing feedback on recurring faults and potential process improvements
• Ensuring products meet specification before shipment
• Helping reduce scrap and rework through accurate diagnosis and repair
• Supporting continuous improvement activities across production and test functions
