Job summary

STI Limited is seeking an experienced PCB Assembler to join our manufacturing team in the UK. You will assemble high-quality PCBs to customer specifications, with emphasis on precise soldering and adherence to IPC standards.

The role requires IPC certifications, PCB assembly experience, and the ability to read component codes. We offer holiday, pension, health benefits and training opportunities while supporting security clearance where needed.

Qualifications

• IPC certifications and PCB assembly experience required.
• Ability to read component identification codes for resistors, capacitors and ICs.
• Experience with 5S practices and quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Using work instructions and bill of materials to assemble PCBs to IPC-J-STD-001 Class 3.
• Soldering conventional components.
• Pre-forming, inserting and cropping component leads with hand tools.
• Incorporating modifications such as wire links.
• Hand placing and soldering surface mount components.
• Understanding and identifying common components and value codes.
• Complying with 5S activities.

Turn Components into Critical Technology – Become a PCB Assembler!

Are you an experienced PCB Assembler with excellent soldering skills and a keen eye for detail? We are looking for a dedicated individual to join our manufacturing team, assembling high-quality Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) to industry-leading standards.

Some of the main responsibilities include:

• Using written work instructions and items lists to assemble products to customer specifications and IPC-J-STD-001 Class 3 as directed
• Soldering conventional components
• Pre-forming, inserting and cropping component leads using hand tools
• Incorporating modifications such as wire links
• Hand placing and soldering surface mount components
• Understanding and identifying common components / device types and value decoding
• Complying with all 5S activities as required

We are looking for a candidate who has IPC certifications, experience in PCB assembly and has an understanding of component identification codes such as resistors, capacitors and ICs.
