Oakley Recruitment Limited is partnering with a well-established organisation based in Cannock, recruiting an experienced Payroll Supervisor to join the team on a full-time, permanent basis.

You will oversee payroll processing for up to 100 SME clients, manage weekly, fortnightly and monthly payrolls, ensure HMRC compliance and pension auto-enrolment, and supervise one team member. This is a fully office-based role with a contributory pension and free parking.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a Payroll Supervisor or similar role.
• Strong technical payroll knowledge is essential.
• Experience using Sage Payroll is essential.
• Experience managing multiple client payrolls, ideally in a payroll bureau or outsourced environment.
• Excellent understanding of HMRC RTI submissions and pension auto-enrolment.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing the accurate and timely processing of payroll for a portfolio of up to 100 SME clients.
• Managing weekly, fortnightly and monthly payroll cycles as required.
• Ensuring all payroll calculations are accurate (PAYE, NI, pension, holiday pay, SSP, overtime).
• Managing statutory payments (SSP, SMP, SPP) and auto-enrolment requirements.
• Ensuring compliance with HMRC legislation and pension auto-enrolment.
• Processing starters, leavers, P45s, P60s and related documentation.
• Managing RTI submissions (FPS and EPS) to deadlines.
• Using Sage Payroll to process, review and manage client payrolls.
• Supervising and supporting one payroll team member; acting as client contact for payroll queries.
