Job summary

JGA Recruitment Group Ltd is seeking a payroll professional in Stockport, United Kingdom to process accurate weekly and monthly payrolls for a portfolio of clients. You will calculate PAYE, National Insurance and other deductions, ensuring deadlines are met with strict compliance.

Ideal candidates will have at least 1 year of payroll processing experience in umbrella/recruitment environments and a solid understanding of UK payroll rules, with strong attention to detail and confidence in liaising

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of payroll processing experience in umbrella/recruitment/bureau environment.
• Good understanding of UK payroll, PAYE and National Insurance.
• Umbrella payroll experience is desirable but not essential.
• Strong attention to detail, organisation and communication skills.
• Confident dealing directly with clients.
• Positive, enthusiastic and keen to develop a long-term career in payroll.

Responsibilities

• Process accurate and timely payrolls for a portfolio of clients.
• Calculate PAYE, National Insurance and other payroll deductions.
• Complete weekly payroll reconciliations alongside the Finance team.
• Handle payroll queries and liaise directly with clients regarding timesheets, assignments and deadlines.
• Work to strict payroll deadlines while maintaining high levels of accuracy and compliance.
• Keep up to date with UK payroll legislation and support wider team projects.
