Job summary

Michael Page is seeking a Payroll Administrator to join our finance team in the United Kingdom. You will manage monthly payrolls, ensure PAYE compliance and handle payroll data, reports, and queries. The role requires attention to detail, the ability to meet deadlines, and proficiency with Excel and payroll software.

Qualifications

• Experience in payroll processing within the media and agency sector or similar industries.
• Strong knowledge of payroll systems and relevant legislation.
• Attention to detail and the ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
• Good communication skills to address employee queries effectively.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Process the various monthly payrolls from data collection, through processing to payment and reconciliation.
• Run the monthly payrolls within the set deadlines.
• Produce reports and spreadsheets using the payroll system.
• Ensure payment of PAYE, court order and pension deductions on time to third parties.
• Post and reconcile the cashbook back to the payroll.
• Respond to employee queries in a quick and courteous manner.
• Deal with clients and their employees queries.
• Process additional payments such as advances against salary and payment to third parties.
