Job summary

ProTalent Limited is seeking a Payroll Administrator to join our Sussex team. You will run up to around 150 client payrolls from start to finish, handling starters, leavers, SSP, SMP, SPP and auto-enrolment contributions.

You will manage year-end processes and liaise directly with clients to provide practical payroll advice. Flexibility around hours is offered with a core set of hours; a stable, established portfolio awaits you in a friendly, supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Solid, hands-on payroll experience (practice or industry welcome).
• Confidence processing payroll and auto-enrolment from start to finish.
• Comfortable dealing with clients directly.
• Good with numbers, organised, and able to multitask.
• Sage Payroll experience is a real plus.

Responsibilities

• Run up to around 150 client payrolls from start to finish.
• Handle starters, leavers, SSP, SMP, SPP and auto-enrolment contributions.
• Manage year-end processes and filings.
• Calculate holiday entitlement and pay.
• Liaise with clients, answer queries and offer practical advice.
• Complete BACS and pension submissions, and file HMRC requirements.
