Recruitment Solutions (NW) Ltd is seeking an experienced Payroll Clerk to join its friendly finance team in the Trafford area. You will manage weekly and monthly payroll, resolve employee queries and help ensure payroll runs smoothly and accurately.

The role requires attention to detail, proficiency with Excel and payroll systems, and the ability to handle confidential information in a busy environment. You will work as part of a team and support month-end processes.

Qualifications

• Experience as Payroll Clerk/Payroll Administrator or similar role.
• Good understanding of payroll processes and procedures.
• Confident using payroll systems and Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information professionally.
• Team player in a busy environment.

Responsibilities

• Processing weekly and monthly payroll.
• Calculating wages, overtime, bonuses and deductions.
• Maintaining accurate employee payroll records.
• Processing starters, leavers and changes to employee details.
• Dealing with payroll queries from employees.
• Checking timesheets and ensuring payroll information is correct.
• Processing statutory payments, including SSP and SMP.
• Supporting with PAYE, National Insurance and pension contributions.
• Helping with payroll reporting and month-end processes.
