Prince Personnel Limited is recruiting a Payroll Specialist for a temporary assignment in Telford with remote working available. The role runs 2 months and may extend to 6 months, with a salary of £30,000–£35,000. Hours are 9am–5:30pm Monday to Friday, 30 minutes lunch.

• Liaising with internal stakeholders to gather and validate payroll information.
• Processing payroll-related data and resolving discrepancies during implementation.
• Supporting payroll testing and transition to the new payroll structure.
• Providing expert payroll guidance throughout the project.
• Maintaining confidentiality and accuracy with sensitive employee information.

Payroll Specialist

Telford - (Remote working available)

Our client is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to join them on a temporary basis to support a major payroll project following a recent acquisition. This role offers fully remote working.

The successful candidate will play a key role in setting up a new payroll function, ensuring a smooth transition for employees being onboarded into the business. This is an excellent opportunity for an immediately available payroll professional looking for a project-focused assignment with the potential to extend beyond the initial two-month period.

Responsibilities and duties may include, but not limited to:

• Leading the setup and implementation of a new payroll ahead of the go-live date.
• Onboarding employees acquired through a recent business acquisition onto the payroll system.
• Ensuring payroll records are accurate, compliant and correctly configured.
• Liaising with internal stakeholders to gather and validate payroll information.
• Processing payroll-related data and resolving any discrepancies identified during implementation.
• Supporting payroll testing and ensuring a smooth transition to the new payroll structure.
• Providing expert payroll knowledge and guidance throughout the project.
• Maintaining confidentiality and accuracy when handling sensitive employee information.

Skills and Experience

The successful candidate will be an experienced Payroll Specialist with a strong understanding of payroll implementation, onboarding and payroll administration processes. You will be highly organised, detail-focused and comfortable managing a payroll project within a fast-paced environment. Experience using ADP would be highly advantageous, although candidates with strong payroll systems experience from other platforms will also be considered. Immediate availability is essential.
