Job summary

United Rentals Europe is seeking a part-time Payroll Specialist in Warrington to ensure accurate and timely UK payroll processing. You will support the finance team with reconciliations, journal entries and accruals, while optimising payroll processes and maintaining compliance with UK tax and social security rules.

You will act as the main payroll contact for employees and managers, coordinate with HMRC and external partners, and contribute to payroll-related projects in a global organisation.

Qualifications

  • Experience in UK payroll and reconciliations.
  • Knowledge of UK benefits regulations.
  • Proficient with Excel and IT systems.
  • Experience in an international organisation is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Take responsibility for UK payroll and ensuring correct reconciliations, timely payroll, journal entries and accruals.
  • Optimising and developing payroll processes and automated systems.
  • Advising HR on financial, tax and social security implications of employee benefits.
  • Primary contact for payroll questions from employees and managers.
  • Liaising with HMRC, software suppliers, auditors and external stakeholders.
  • Investigating and responding to UK Payroll queries.
  • Supporting payroll-related projects.

Your goal in this job is to ensure correct and timely payment of our UK colleagues and have fun doing so.Responsibilities:Primary tasks and responsibilities for the Payroll Specialist will be:Taking responsibility for UK payroll and ensuring correct reconciliations, timely payroll, journal entries and holiday and other accruals for the finance department.Optimising and developing payroll processes and automated systems.Advising our HR department on the financial, tax and social security implications of employee benefits and other schemes.The primary contact for all payroll related questions from employees and operational managers.
