Intelligent Payroll is a remote-first payroll provider supporting 650+ UK clients. You will manage payrolls, ensure accurate payments, and build strong client relationships from home, with quarterly Blackburn meetings (BB1) for strategy and team meals.

Use our payroll software, stay compliant with UK legislation, and grow through a clear progression plan and training budget. UK residency is required to apply for this role.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of experience working in a payroll bureau environment.

You’ll be managing payrolls and ensuring they’re all paid correctly and on time - a role where your attention to detail directly impacts hundreds of employees getting their wages when they need them.

Please note: While this is a remote role, you’ll join us quarterly in Blackburn, BB1, for team meetings (with full business transparency and planning sessions) followed by a team meal. Due to our clients requirements, employees must be in the UK to apply for this role.

Tasks
What You’ll Do
Payroll Processing
  • Process payrolls accurately for your assigned clients, ensuring full compliance with UK legislation
  • Use our payroll software to meet each client's specific requirements
  • Review payroll data, calculate pay, and obtain client approval before submission
  • Submit reports to HMRC, pension providers, and other authorities
Client Support
  • Be the main contact for your clients, providing professional and timely support
  • Answer queries and resolve payroll issues quickly and effectively
  • Build strong relationships that keep clients happy with our service
Professional Development
  • Stay current with UK payroll legislation and tax changes
  • Participate in training sessions and contribute improvement ideas
  • Maintain accurate records and collaborate effectively with the team
Requirements
What We’re Looking For
Essential
  • Minimum 1 year of experience working in a payroll bureau environment
