Job summary

Dorset Police is looking for a Payroll Services Lead to oversee payroll processes across two forces. Based at Exeter or Winfrith, the role offers hybrid working and a minimum of one day in the office per week.

You will manage a payroll team, collaborate with the Pension Data Analyst and Payroll Manager, and ensure service delivery meets SLAs and statutory requirements while maintaining confidentiality and quality.

Qualifications

• Experience in a payroll environment.
• Recognised payroll or financial qualification (CIPP or equivalent).
• Experience leading or supervising a team.
• Strong IT skills with computerised payroll or financial systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage payroll processes and service delivery for the forces.
• Lead and support the payroll team to ensure high quality, accurate service.
• Maintain data accuracy and consistency with the Payroll & Pension Data Analyst.
• Ensure compliance with SLAs, statutory requirements and policies.
