Job summary

Anglian Water Services is seeking a highly organized People and Payroll Services Advisor to join the People Team and deliver accurate payroll services. You will work across SAP Payroll and Workday to ensure colleagues are paid on time while advising on payroll processes and statutory requirements.

You’ll collaborate with HR, Finance and external providers to ensure smooth, compliant payroll operations and drive continuous improvement in processes and customer service.

Qualifications

• Payroll administration experience.
• Understanding of PAYE and HMRC requirements.
• Experience handling confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Process monthly payroll activities with accuracy and compliance.
• Manage lifecycle payroll activities: starters, movers, leavers.
• Maintain employee data across Workday and SAP.
• Process statutory payments and deductions (maternity/paternity/adoption/shared parental pay).
• Support pension administration, payroll audits and statutory reporting.
• Handle payroll-related payments (expenses, company cars, union subscriptions, salary sacrifice, court orders).
• Produce payroll reports and perform variance checks to resolve discrepancies.
• Provide excellent payroll support to employees, managers and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with HR, Reward, Finance and providers to resolve queries and improve processes.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across payroll operations.
