Payroll & Pensions Team Lead

Duration: Permanent Contract

Location: Staffordshire/Hybrid (3 days on-site)

Responsibilities:

• Deliver accurate monthly payroll and pensions services, complying with laws, policies, and procedures.
• Serve as the main contact for pay and pensions queries, providing expert advice.
• Maintain payroll governance with documented controls, reviews, and audit readiness.
• Ensure payroll systems meet legal standards and process payments accurately.
• Regularly review and improve payroll processes for efficiency and accuracy.
• Assist with annual system updates for smooth payroll operations.

Required experience:

• 5+ years in a similar senior payroll role.
• Experience with defined benefit and contribution pension schemes.
• Strong knowledge of payroll systems, tax, N.I., and electronic processing tools.
