Job summary

The Weydon Multi Academy Trust (WMAT) is seeking a Payroll Assistant to join our Payroll Team. The role supports the Payroll Lead and Manager, handling processing and data tasks across two platforms, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time.

Based across WMAT sites with occasional travel between Weydon School and Tomlinscote School, the post may offer hybrid working. Autumn 2026 start date with a 36-hour week and a competitive annual salary.

Qualifications

• Strong numerical and analytical skills with large payroll datasets.
• Good organisational ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent attention to detail handling confidential payroll data.

Responsibilities

• The primary function is to support the Payroll Lead and Manager, delivering accurate payroll with excellent customer service.
• Assist with processing of Payroll & Pensions, UK statutory requirements, respond to queries, provide data, and ensure returns/audits are delivered.
• Maintain HR & Payroll data across two platforms (iTrent and Data plan).
