East Durham College is seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to lead the delivery of an accurate, compliant and customer-focused payroll service for our staff. This key role sits within our HR team and offers the opportunity to take ownership of the College payroll across the region.
You will manage monthly payroll processing, ensure HMRC compliance, administer pensions, handle changes, produce reports, and collaborate with HR, Finance and external payroll providers to keep systems up to date

A recognised payroll qualification, or experience equivalent to this level, would be beneficial, as would experience of Teachers' Pensions and/or the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS).
