We are looking for a knowledgeable *Payroll Specialist *to process and manage the company’s payment of both employees and self-employed dental clinicians.

Energetic, reliable with strong attention to detail, you will be a pro-active member of the Finance team. You will be a self-starter with a “can do” attitude and have proven problem-solving skills.

In this role, you'll handle & own engagement with outsourced payroll providers, manage payroll data, and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner. Your responsibilities will also include preparing payroll reports, collaborating with HR and Finance teams.

As the business grows, we are also looking to ensure our business processes maximise our use of technology to support robust controls and analytics.

Duties/Experience

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the role requires hands on processing of a wide variety of accounting tasks, including:

  • Gather information on hours worked for each employee and co-ordinate timely data gathering incorporating overtime, deductions, bonuses etc.
  • Ensure core source systems housing pay information for resources is accurate and complete
  • Receive approval from upper management for payments when needed
  • Prepare and execute pay orders for self- employed clinicians
  • Keep track of hour rates, wages, compensation benefit rates, new hire information etc.
  • Address issues and questions regarding payroll from employees and superiors
  • Prepare reports for upper management, finance department etc.
  • Offer quality customer service to maintain utmost level of customer retention
  • Handle and organize a constructive working relationship with service providers and other staff
  • Take part in organizing departmental training sessions to develop and empower staff

What We Are Looking For

You will have had previous experience in a busy Payroll role department.

  • Proven experience as payroll specialist or payroll manager
  • Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals and payroll best practices
  • Very good knowledge of legislation and regulations of the field
  • Proficient in MS Office and management of data integrity
  • Trustworthy with attention to confidentiality
  • Outstanding organizational ability with great attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £26,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
