Job summary

The Park Federation Academy Trust is seeking a Payroll Officer to manage day-to-day payroll operations across its network of schools. James Elliman Academy, Slough, is the primary location for this 20-hour per week role, with flexibility between 9am to 3pm.

You will report to the HR Manager and assist with cyclic tasks such as pension returns, ensuring accurate payments and compliance across all sites.

Qualifications

• Recent payroll processing experience.
• Experience with outsourced payroll, particularly in the public sector would be advantageous.
• Understanding of prorating salaries, calculating overtime and statutory payments.
• Highly organised and able to support others in the team.

Job Title: Payroll Officer

Salary (actual): £17,816 - £18,880 (national increase pending)

Location: James Elliman Academy, Slough

Hours: 20 hours per week

Work pattern: Flexibility between 9am to 3pm, Monday to Friday

Working weeks: all year round (52 weeks per annum)

Holiday: 26 days plus bank holidays

The Role

Reporting to the HR Manager, the Payroll Officer will be responsible for the day to day payroll operation for a number of our schools.

The Payroll Officer will also support the Head of HR and HR Manager on cyclic tasks, such as pension annual returns.

Your Experience

You will have recent payroll processing experience. Experience with outsourced payroll, particularly in the public sector would be advantageous.

An understanding of prorating salaries, calculating overtime and statutory payments is essential for this role.
