Job summary

Lady Margaret Hall, a constituent College of the University of Oxford, invites applications for a Payroll Manager in the Accounts Office based in Oxford. You will take full responsibility for monthly payroll processing, HMRC filings, and pension scheme administration.

The role requires meticulous attention to payroll data, strong IT skills (Excel/Word and Cintra IQ Payroll), and the ability to work to tight deadlines while liaising with departments, pension providers, and HMRC.

Qualifications

• 3 years’ experience in payroll processing within an Accounts team.
• Ability to process payroll accurately and in compliance with legislation.
• Proven ability to protect sensitive data and maintain discretion.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and reconcile monthly payroll for staff.
• Manage pension submissions and liaise with providers.
• Prepare and file payroll deductions with HMRC and pension schemes.
• Provide salary costs for budget and forecasting.
• Ensure payroll records are accurate and auditable.
