Job summary

Xeinadin Group is seeking a Payroll Manager for Chandler's Ford to lead end-to-end payroll for a select client portfolio. You will oversee accuracy, compliance, and timely processing while mentoring junior staff and collaborating with the Hub Payroll Manager to implement new systems.

The role requires CIPP qualification or equivalent, strong numerical skills, and proficiency in BrightPay and MS Office. Excellent communication and client relationship management are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the entire payroll process for a broad client base, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery.
  • Prepare and submit RTI returns, CIS deductions, and end-of-year returns, including P11D and Class 1A NIC calculations.
  • Oversee payroll outputs, such as payslips, pension uploads, and payment reports for clients and third parties.
  • Handle auto-enrolment setup, calculations, and submissions, ensuring compliance with pension regulations.
  • Maintain detailed payroll records and implement a robust document control system for audit trails.
  • Resolve client payroll queries efficiently and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Provide training, mentorship, and support to junior team members.
  • Collaborate with the Hub Payroll Manager to introduce new payroll systems and procedures.
  • Stay informed about current payroll legislation and tax compliance; apply improvements to processes.
  • Prepare month-end journals and reports for posting and audit purposes.
  • Represent the organisation at offsite client meetings and training courses.
  • Monitor the team's client payrolls to ensure timely processing and address issues.

  • Prepare month-end journals and reports as needed for posting and audit purposes.
  • Represent the organisation professionally at offsite client meetings, networking events, and training courses.
  • Monitor the team's client payrolls to ensure timely and accurate processing, addressing issues as they arise.
Key Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience in end-to-end payroll management, preferably in a client-facing or practice environment.
  • A CIPP (Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals) qualification, or an equivalent industry-recognised payroll certification, demonstrating expertise in payroll and its associated regulations.
  • Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., BrightPay) and Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel.
  • Capable of handling a high volume of payroll data while meeting deadlines and maintaining quality standards.
  • In-depth Knowledge of HMRC Legislation & Pension Auto Enrolment: Comprehensive understanding of current HMRC tax legislation, pension auto enrolment, and other statutory regulations.
  • High levels of accuracy and attention to detail, with strong numerical skills.
