Job summary

Pertemps are recruiting a Payroll Manager to join a growing organisation based in Salisbury. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing, processing and operating the day-to-day payroll.

You will manage payroll for 350+ employees, ensure HMRC compliance, handle benefits in kind, supervise the payroll administrator and coordinate timekeeping, HRIS and payroll systems. The role is Monday to Friday, with the option to work one day from home, and offers £40,000–£45,000 per year.

Qualifications

• Proven Payroll Manager experience.
• Knowledge of payroll procedures and related laws.
• Strong knowledge of benefits in kind.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and process payroll for 350+ employees.
• Ensure HMRC compliance and correct reporting.
• Coordinate timekeeping, HRIS and payroll systems.
• Supervise payroll administrator.
• Collaborate with HR and accounts.
• Conduct quarterly establishment reviews with stakeholders.
• Manage changes for new hires, terminations and salary raises.

Payroll Manager

Pertemps are currently recruiting for a Payroll Manager to join a growing organisation based in Salisbury. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing, processing and operating the day-to-day payroll.

Responsibilities

• Processing payroll transactions (over 350 employees) Ensuring they meet HMRC requirements
• Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and internal policies
• Processing all benefit in kind and expenses
• Supervise and coach the payroll administrator
• Coordinate timekeeping, HRIS and payroll systems
• Working closely with internal teams including HR And accounts
• Ensure quarterly establishment reviews are completed with stakeholders
• Oversee all changes including new hires, terminations, raises ect

Requirements

• Proven Payroll Manager experience
• Payroll Qualification
• Current knowledge of payroll procedures and related laws
• In-depth and current knowledge, and strong understanding of benefits in kind
• Comprehensive payroll software / HRIS experience
• Outstanding communication skills
• Happy for occasional travel to different depots

This position is working Monday - Friday, 9am - 5.30pm with the option to work one day from home. Salary of £40,000 - £45,000 depending on experience.
