Job summary

Portfolio Payroll Limited seeks a Payroll Manager to oversee a high-volume, multi-frequency payroll across weekly, four-weekly and monthly cycles.

You will lead a payroll team, mentor staff, carry out one-to-ones and appraisals, and drive payroll projects while resolving escalated queries. I-Trent experience is essential; hybrid working is available. This is a critical role reporting directly into the Finance Director, with responsibility for process improvements and delivery accuracy.

Qualifications

• Experience managing large-volume payroll with multiple frequencies.
• I-Trent software experience is essential.
• Experience leading a payroll team and delivering development plans.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a large-volume payroll across weekly, four weekly and monthly cycles with varying pay dates.
• Lead and develop the payroll team including one-to-ones and appraisals; assist with hiring new members.
• Take ownership of payroll-related projects and improvements.
• Resolve escalated payroll queries promptly and accurately.

A Payroll Manager is currently being recruited for a large services company. This is a critical role for the business and will report directly into finance.

This business offers support across a variety of different sectors.

As the Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Overseeing a large volume payroll across a variety of different frequencies - this includes weekly, monthly and four weekly
• These payrolls have different pay dates and deadlines
• Additionally, there are multiple variables across the payrolls such as shift patterns & overtime rates
• This role will also look after a large team daily - this will include training, development plans , carrying out one to ones and appraisals. Hiring new members.
• Lead on all payroll related projects
• Resolving all payroll escalated queries

Candidates need to have previous I-Trent software experience.
