Our client, a professional services business, is recruiting a Payroll Manager to oversee payroll delivery, maintain compliance and improve processes.
This opportunity would suit an established Payroll Manager or an experienced Senior Payroll Officer ready to take on greater responsibility.
You'll manage an accurate and reliable payroll service, providing practical advice to colleagues and ensuring deadlines and statutory requirements are met.
Manage end-to-end payroll, including starters, leavers, salary changes, deductions and statutory payments.
Complete pensions administration, payroll reconciliations, HMRC submissions and year-end processes.
Maintain effective controls and accurate records to support compliance and audits.
Monitor payroll legislation and apply relevant changes.
Review processes and implement improvements to accuracy and efficiency.
Provide clear guidance on payroll matters.
Resolve employee payroll queries with professionalism and discretion.
Significant UK payroll experience, including end-to-end payroll delivery.
Confidence taking ownership of payroll processes and deadlines.
Strong understanding of payroll legislation, pensions and statutory requirements.
A track record of improving payroll processes or controls.
Strong Excel and payroll systems skills.
The ability to explain technical payroll matters clearly.
A CIPP qualification or equivalent would be advantageous.
