Job summary

Evolve Personnel in the United Kingdom is seeking a Payroll Manager to oversee payroll for approximately 80 clients, handling both weekly and monthly cycles. This is a hands-on, doer role with responsibility for processing and compliance.

Part-time (25 hours/week) is available, with full-time options negotiable. Core hours are Mon-Thu 9:00–17:30 and Fri 9:00–17:00; no remote work. Salary ranges £28k–£36k pro rata for part-time, depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Experience managing payroll for multiple clients.
• Knowledge of CIS submissions and payroll reporting.
• Able to liaise with HMRC on payroll issues.
• Understanding of client pension obligations and auto-enrolment.

Responsibilities

• Manage and control the payroll department for ~80 clients.
• Review payrolls prepared by other staff and handle complex cases.
• Prepare and review CIS submissions as required.
• Assist clients with payroll-related queries and issues.
• Liaise with HMRC on payroll matters and ensure compliance.
• Ensure client pension obligations are complied with.
