Job summary

Portfolio Credit Control is seeking a confident, technically strong payroll professional to take the lead on two established payrolls in the Greater London area. You will be the go-to expert for month-end, year-end, compliance, and process accuracy, while shaping how the payroll function evolves in the future.

This hands-on role covers payroll operations, reconciliation, benefits, pensions, HMRC liaison, and close collaboration with the current Payroll Administrator.

Qualifications

• Strong technical payroll knowledge across monthly and annual cycles.
• Experience managing multiple payrolls and handling complex queries.
• Experience with benefits, pensions, and HMRC processes.

Responsibilities

• Managing two monthly payrolls and ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance for c.1,200 employees.
• Monthly payroll activities including reconciliation, journals, and reporting.
• Pension & HMRC administration ensuring contributions, submissions, and statutory requirements are met.
• Benefits administration including cycle to work, season ticket loans, and supporting the Payroll Admin on wider benefits.
• Annual processes for P60s, P11Ds, PSA (completed monthly), ASR and bonus payroll activities.
• Collaboration with Group Accounts ensuring journals and financial data are accurate and aligned.
• Working with the Payroll Administrator and shaping future division of duties.
