Job summary

Deutsche Post is seeking a Payroll Hub Analyst in the Midlands with hybrid working. The role involves validating timecards, processing overtime and absences in Kronos, and handling emergency payments where required. You will run routine reports and respond to employee payroll queries.

It is a 12-month FTC with 37.5 hours per week, 25 days holiday, and potential bonus. The candidate should have strong analytical skills, finance experience, and familiarity with payroll legislation.

Qualifications

• Analytical and numerical skills are essential.
• Experience in finance payroll or accounting is required.
• Strong Excel and Word skills are needed.
• Knowledge of payroll legislation and health & safety is desirable.
• Able to gather, verify and correlate data accurately.
• Ability to apply DHL financial policies to payroll processes.

Responsibilities

• Check employee timecards and communicate exceptions.
• Ensure overtime and absence are recorded in Kronos.
• Process emergency payments and obtain authorisation as needed (SDP/BACs).
• Run reports in SMART TIME and report to finance.
• Support with same-day payments and payroll queries from employees.

Payroll Hub Analyst

Grade: RCS N

Contract Type: 12-month FTC

Location: Midlands (hybrid working)

Working pattern is 37.5 hours a week over 5 days, 25 days holiday, potential bonus

WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?

• Checking of employee timecards and communication of any exceptions to operations contacts
• Ensure overtime and absence is recorded on Kronos.
• Complete, obtain authorisation and send SDP/BACs forms for emergency payments where required
• Run reports on a routine basis to extract information from SMART TIME and report information to finance.
• Support with any same-day payments that are required
• Handle any pay queries from employees

WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?

• Good analytical and numerical skills
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills - Excel, Word
• Previous Finance Experience
• Knowledge of Health & Safety requirements
• Working knowledge of payroll/statutory legislation
• Ability to gather and correlate correct date
