Job summary

Adjacency Recruitment are partnering with a Cheltenham-based organisation to recruit a Payroll & Finance Manager. The role leads payroll governance, oversees a small finance operations team, and drives system transformation within a major HR platform implementation.

Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will own payroll and support month-end processes. You will manage a team of four, ensure regulatory compliance, and guide transformation projects to improve efficiency and resilience across

• Support the Financial Accountant with month-end processes
• Provide coaching & mentoring to your team to support development
• Allocate workloads, manage priorities and promote wellbeing across the team.

Adjacency Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with one of Cheltenham’s most iconic businesses in the recruitment of a Payroll & Finance Manager.

The successful candidate will join our client at an exciting period of change and growth and will have responsibility for payroll governance, core finance operations, system transformation and team management.

Reporting into the Director of Finance this role takes ownership of the payroll function whilst leading a small, well established finance operations team and also has the responsibility of leading the payroll aspect of the ongoing implementation of a new HR platform ensuring a smooth and successful transition.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Act as the business lead for payroll legislation, controls and best practice.
