Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end monthly payroll, ensuring accuracy, compliance and timely delivery.
• Act as the payroll SME for a major HR and payroll system implementation.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of payroll legislation, pensions and statutory requirements.
• Oversee payroll reporting, reconciliations and submissions.
• Manage and develop a small team across Payroll and Finance Operations.
• Oversee key finance operations, including VAT, banking, cash management and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Drive process improvements, automation and stronger financial controls.
• Work closely with HR, IT and senior stakeholders on systems and transformation projects.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Payroll & Finance Operations Manager to join a growing, professional services organisation based in Cheltenham.

This is a broad and influential role, combining responsibility for a complex internal payroll with leadership of a small finance operations team. You’ll also play a key role in an upcoming payroll and HR systems transformation.

Key Responsibilities
