Job summary

3D Personnel LTD in County Derry is seeking a Payroll Executive to join their finance team. The role focuses on accurate and timely processing of weekly and monthly payrolls for a workforce of around 200, ensuring compliance with UK payroll legislation.

You will work alongside an existing Payroll Executive to deliver a high-quality payroll service, handle FPS/EPS submissions, and support process improvements as the business grows. Hybrid work is available with 1 day per week at home.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a high-volume UK payroll environment.
  • Experience processing both weekly and monthly payrolls.
  • Strong understanding of PAYE, National Insurance, statutory payments and deductions.
  • Experience managing payroll for a sizeable workforce with overtime and variable pay elements.
  • Experience using payroll and time & attendance systems.
  • Sage Payroll / Sage Micropay experience.
  • Strong Excel and payroll reconciliation skills.

Responsibilities

  • End-to-end processing of weekly and monthly payrolls.
  • Processing payroll for hourly paid and salaried employees.
  • Calculating overtime, shift allowances, statutory payments and deductions.
  • Maintaining accurate payroll records and employee data.
  • Ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations and UK payroll legislation.
  • Managing PAYE, National Insurance, pension contributions and other deductions.
  • Payroll reconciliations and investigation of any payroll discrepancies.
  • Submission of payroll information including FPS and EPS returns.
  • Administration of workplace pension schemes and auto-enrolment requirements.
  • Maintaining payroll and time & attendance systems.
  • Processing new starters, leavers and payroll amendments.
  • Collaborating with HR, Finance and operational teams to resolve payroll-related queries.
  • Contributing to payroll process improvements and continuous improvement initiatives.

We are searching for a Payroll Executive in County Derry for a fulltime permanent role (Hybrid Working (1 Day WFH Per Week)) Salary: £40,000

Our client, a highly successful and rapidly growing organisation within the engineering and manufacturing sector, is seeking an experienced Payroll Executive to join their finance team based in County Derry.

This is an excellent opportunity for a payroll professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys taking ownership of payroll operations while working closely with HR, Finance and operational teams. The successful candidate will support a workforce of approximately 200 employees across weekly and monthly payrolls, with significant business growth planned over the coming years.

The Role

As Payroll Executive, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of weekly and monthly payrolls, ensuring compliance with UK payroll legislation and company policies.

Working alongside an existing Payroll Executive, you will play a key role in delivering a high-quality payroll service while supporting process improvements and system efficiencies as the business continues to expand.

Key Responsibilities

The Candidate
Essential Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a high-volume UK payroll environment.
  • Experience processing both weekly and monthly payrolls.
  • Strong understanding of PAYE, National Insurance, statutory payments and deductions.
  • Experience managing payroll for a sizeable workforce with overtime and variable pay elements.
  • Experience using payroll and time & attendance systems.
  • Sage Payroll / Sage Micropay experience.
  • Strong Excel and payroll reconciliation skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Ability to manage deadlines and work independently.
  • Professional and discreet approach to handling confidential information.
Desirable
  • Payroll qualification.
  • Experience within manufacturing, engineering or production environments.
  • Knowledge of workplace pension administration and auto-enrolment.
  • Experience with integrated time and attendance systems.
