Job summary

Medivet is seeking a payroll data analyst who thrives on turning data into actionable insights. You will analyse payroll information, identify trends, and support accurate payroll processing across the business.

You will reconcile data, create dashboards, and ensure compliance with HMRC and National Minimum Wage requirements while collaborating with Payroll, People, Finance and Operations teams. Strong Excel skills and experience with payroll systems are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in payroll reporting, finance analysis or data analytics within a complex organisation.
• Confident working with large datasets, producing detailed reports and investigating discrepancies.
• Advanced Excel skills including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, Power Query, complex formulas and data validation.
• Experience with payroll systems and HR databases.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex data into practical recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Turning data into insights by analysing payroll information to identify trends and opportunities.
• Performing payroll reconciliations, validating data and investigating discrepancies for accuracy.
• Delivering payroll reports, dashboards and KPIs including costs, overtime, absence, pensions and statutory payments.
• Strengthening compliance through audits, data quality checks and HMRC/National Minimum Wage adherence.
• Driving process improvements and automating reporting where possible.
• Supporting payroll system enhancements, testing and data migration.
