Reed Technology in Bath is seeking a Payroll Associate to join a busy accountancy practice. The role covers processing payrolls across weekly, fortnightly and monthly cycles for a diverse client portfolio, ensuring accuracy, compliance and excellent service.

We welcome candidates with UK payroll experience, strong PAYE/NIC knowledge, pensions and auto-enrolment, and familiarity with payroll software such as IRIS Staffology, Xero, Sage or QuickBooks.

Qualifications

• Experience in UK accountancy practice payroll.
• Strong knowledge of PAYE, NI, RTI and payroll legislation.
• Experience with pensions and auto-enrolment.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• High levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with payroll software (IRIS Staffology, Xero, Sage, QuickBooks).

Responsibilities

• Process weekly, fortnightly and monthly payrolls.
• Submit RTI returns and ensure HMRC compliance.
• Manage SSP, SMP and other statutory payments.
• Administer workplace pensions and auto-enrolment.
• Handle payroll queries from clients.
• Maintain payroll records and reports.
• Meet payroll deadlines and deliver timely reports.
