Job summary

RMT Accountants & Business Advisors Ltd, now part of the Sumer Group, is seeking an Accounts Senior to join our Newcastle office and manage payroll for clients. You will handle data processing, reporting, client queries and pension administration in a collaborative team.

Experience in payroll within an accountancy practice or healthcare sector is valued, along with proficiency in Excel, Outlook, and IRIS STAR Payroll Professional.

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of payroll processes and previous experience in a payroll role.
• Experience in an accountancy practice or the healthcare sector is desirable.
• Familiarity with IRIS (STAR) Payroll Professional.
• Proficiency in Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Accurately processing payroll data, including temporary and permanent changes
• Generating payroll reports and ensuring timely submissions
• Acting as the first point of contact for payroll queries via phone and email
• Managing pension administration and compliance
• Liaising directly with HMRC on payroll-related matters
