About the role:

We have an opportunity for an enthusiastic Payroll Assistant based at our London office in Farringdon. We are looking for a detail-driven, proactive, and highly organized Payroll Assistant to keep our payroll process smooth, accurate, and on time. You’ll be a key player in ensuring all our employees across the business get paid correctly and on time. You will be maintaining payroll records and responding to employee enquiries, as well as assisting with compliance and process improvement efforts.

What you will be doing:

  • Processing payroll data on iHCM (ADP) including salaries, deductions, overtime, bonuses, adjustments and adhoc payments.
  • Processing payroll from start to finish, i.e new starters, leavers, holiday pay, pensions, etc.
  • Recording and maintaining payroll data on iHCM aligned with SAP data.
  • Maintaining an accurate filing of payroll data and information on our Payroll systems and files.
  • Generating monthly payroll reports for processing.
  • Generating reports and ensuring smooth communication between HR, payroll, and other departments.
  • Carrying out attentive payroll checks and verifications to ensure data accuracy.
  • Collaborate with HR to ensure payroll processing in alignment with new starter information and company procedures.
  • Respond to payroll-related enquiries from employees, providing information and resolving issues related to pay statements, deductions, pension, and other payroll matters.
  • Handling payroll queries with a friendly and professional approach in a timely manner.
  • Processing monthly pension contributions.
  • Maintain confidentiality and compliance while working to tight deadlines.
  • Ensure compliance with UK payroll laws and regulations.
  • Keep up to date with payroll regulation and HMRC guidelines.
  • Provide support with process and systems improvements.

What we’re looking for:

  • Possess a solid foundation and understanding in payroll procedures.
  • Proven experience in payroll administration.
  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) for liaising with employees and management.
  • Highly organised with excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team.
  • Good attention to details is a must.
  • Excellent proficiency in using Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
