Job summary

Fixatex Ltd, a Hertford-based electrical services provider, seeks an Assistant Accountant to own payroll for all staff and assist the finance team with daily accounting tasks. Reporting to the Finance Director, the role covers HMRC submissions, pension reporting, and supplier payments.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Excel at an intermediate level.
• Able to handle confidential information responsibly.
• Currently studying towards an accounting qualification.

Responsibilities

• Manage full company payroll and submit HMRC information.
• Post daily bank and credit card transactions and approve invoices.
• Prepare weekly supplier payment runs and monthly accruals.
• Assist monthly sales invoicing and chase overdue payments.
• Handle pay-related queries and issue payslips.
• Support the finance team with routine accounting tasks.
