Job summary

Clear Street is building a cloud-native, end-to-end payments platform that serves institutional clients globally. As a Software Engineer on the Payments team, you will scale and modernise our payments infrastructure, delivering reliable, API-driven systems and smooth customer experiences.

You will work closely with product, operations, and back-end engineers to implement scalable payment solutions, integrate with banks and gateways, and continuously improve performance and reliability across the

Qualifications

• Proven experience with Java and Spring Boot.
• Hands-on with Kafka and Kubernetes for robust integrations.
• Strong understanding of payment ecosystems and external banking APIs.

Responsibilities

• Engineer reliable, API-driven payment systems for global expansion.
• Translate requirements into clean, tested components.
• Collaborate with product, design, operations and back-end teams to deliver high-quality experiences.
• Identify and resolve performance, accessibility, and usability issues.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to shared libraries.
• Ensure health and SLA of features.
