Goldman Sachs in London is seeking a Payments Engineering Business Analyst (Associate/ Vice President) to bridge business strategy and technical execution within Payments Engineering. You will translate complex requirements into robust technical specifications, collaborating with engineers, product managers, and operations to deliver scalable payment solutions.

The role leverages your knowledge of ISO 20022, payment rails, and agile practices, with opportunities to progress into leadership.

Qualifications

Experience as a technical business analyst or techno‑functional product role in payments/fintech.
Strong understanding of SDLC and system architecture.
Knowledge of ISO 20022 and payment rails.
Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications and system designs.

Responsibilities

Elicit requirements with product managers and stakeholders and translate into technical specifications, system designs, and clear user stories for the engineering team.
Understand system dependencies, data models, and API integrations to ensure feasible solutions.
Act as liaison between Payments Engineering, Product Management, Operations, and Compliance to align priorities and drive delivery.
Serve as SME on payment processing, ISO 20022, and clearing networks to guide implementations.
Coordinate annual scheme attestations, audits, and evidence collection for regulatory and operational standards.
Participate in Agile ceremonies, manage the technical backlog, and support developers.
