Job summary

Penrose Health is seeking a hands-on Welcome Team Lead for Penrose Surgery in Greater London. You will supervise the Welcome Team, coordinate rotas, support busy clinics and ensure patients are greeted, checked in and supported effectively.

You will drive a calm, proactive front‑of‑house operation, identify improvements, coach colleagues, and escalate issues to the Site Operations Manager. Experience in healthcare or EMIS is helpful but not essential; a passion for patient experience is key.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a small front-of-house team in a healthcare setting.
• Strong communication and organisational abilities.
• Ability to coordinate rotas and manage busy clinics.
• Comfortable using clinical IT systems and learning new software.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day supervision and support to the Welcome Team.
• Coordinate schedules and daily staffing cover.
• Assist in organising workload and onboarding new staff.
• Coach colleagues and manage induction and development.
• Escalate performance concerns to the Site Operations Manager.
• Oversee reception and waiting areas to maintain a welcoming environment.
• Ensure patient check-in accuracy and timely communication of details.
• Support patient flow improvements and service delivery initiatives.
