We Are Hiring

• Department: General Radiology
• Schedule: PRN
• Hospital: UAB St. Vincent's East

What You Will Do

Transport patients, specimens, and equipment throughout the facility.

1. Transport patients via wheelchair, stretcher, or bed to designated sites as requested, including patients with oxygen tanks, intravenous pumps, drips, monitors, and other equipment.
2. Assist patients with entering and exiting vehicles, including transfer from or to wheelchairs or stretchers.
3. Deliver equipment and specimens to requesting staff or departments. May assist staff with removal of deceased bodies from units and transport to morgue.
4. Greet and provide information and directions to patients and visitors.

What You Will Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. Accepted certifications include American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

Education:

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required.
• Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
