Job summary

Hertfordshire Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Transport Helpdesk Operative based at Hemel Hempstead. The role supports the Transport Team by logging and prioritising patient transport requests, coordinating with drivers and clinical colleagues to deliver a cost-efficient service.

Applicants should have strong customer service skills, accuracy and experience with IT systems. The position runs Monday to Friday, 10:30 am to 7:00 pm, with no sponsorship available for this

Qualifications

• GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics at grade C/4 or above.
• Customer service training or certification is desirable.
• Experience with IT systems and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Assist with clerical duties within Transport Services.
• Input journey data and verify quality of bookings.
• Ensure cost-effective service by booking through external taxis only when needed.
• Provide day-to-day telephone/enquiry support for Transport Services.
• Operate vehicle location systems and GPS data translation for service provision.
• Issue instructions to drivers and contracted transport services.
• Input booking requests and allocate tasks per user requirements.
• Undertake other duties as delegated by Transport Management.
