As a Patient Services Coordinator with Sentara, you will coordinate activities for specific physician practices, including insurance verification/obtaining precertification, scheduling, pre-registration, and order transmission (faxing). The purpose of this position is to ensure maximum reimbursement and reduce denials related to incomplete insurance information and/or authorization. The Patient Services Coordinator maintains statistics and acts as liaison between clinical testing sites and physicians' offices.
