Job summary

One Stop Healthcare in Hemel Hempstead is looking for a Patient Services Advisor to join the Patient Services team. This full-time, permanent role offers a competitive salary plus benefits and requires working 37.5 hours per week over a 7 day rota, including weekends and bank holidays.

You will welcome visitors, assist them in accessing services, handle administrative duties including billing, and maintain proactive communication with the clinic team. Right to work in the UK is required.

Qualifications

  • GCSE English and Maths completed.
  • Experience in public reception environments.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome visitors and patients to OSH and assist them to access the appropriate service or healthcare professional.
  • Maintain a visible presence and pro-active communication with patients, doctors, consultants and clinic team.
  • Undertake administrative duties including billing and payments to ensure smooth clinic operations.
  • Work 37.5 hours per week over a 7 day rota, including weekends and bank holidays.

About The Role
Your responsibilities will include:

To welcome visitors and patients to OSH and to assist them in accessing the appropriate service or healthcare professional, in a courteous, efficient and effective way.

Maintain a visible presence and be pro-active in communicating with patients, doctors, consultants, and other members of the clinic team.

To undertake a variety of administrative duties including those associated with billing and payments, to ensure the smooth running of the clinic.

The successful candidate will be expected to work on a shift basis, working 37.5 hours per week over a 7 day rota during the hospital operating hours. The rota is not fixed, is subject to change in order to meet operational needs and will be required to work weekends and bank holidays in accordance with the rota.

About You
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications, skills and experience:

Good standard of general education with GCSE (or equivalent) including English and Mathematics and proficient in MS Office applications.

Experience of working in a public reception environment managing face to face communication with the patients /public.
