Job summary

The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Clinical Governance Facilitator (NHS AfC: Band 5) in Birmingham. You will support bi-weekly governance meetings, lead PSIRF learning tasks, and prepare risk and safety reports for committees.

You will train staff on the incident reporting system, maintain risk registers, and help disseminate learning from incidents across the trust. A degree-level education is expected, with NHS governance experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Educated to degree level or equivalent experience.
• Experience in governance/compliance-based role.
• Experience in NHS governance role.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate divisional governance meetings with the Divisional Head of Nursing and Clinical Governance Lead.
• Support and advise on PSIRF learning responses; proofreading and monitoring actions.
• Create and present patient safety and risk incident reports for meetings and boards; update actions.
• Present governance aspects of training.
• Provide training to staff on the patient safety incident reporting system.
• Maintain the Trust’s patient safety incident reporting system, risk register module and complaints module.
• Assist with dissemination of learning from patient safety incidents and follow up actions.
